MADURAI: The famous temple city Madurai is geared up for the visit of Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi, on January 27th 2019 Sunday, who is coming here to inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and later address a huge public meeting.
Tamil Nadu BJP State leaders, office-bearers of Madurai Urban and Madurai Rural districts along with a large number of party cadres took part in the ‘bhoomi puja’ ceremony held at Modi’s meeting venue in Mandela Nagar, Ring Road, near airport, on January 20th, marking the start of preparations.

Speaking to sakthi kendra / maha sakthi kendra in-charges, mandal presidents and Madurai City / Madurai Rural districts’ office-bearers after the ‘bhoomi puja’, State BJP president Dr.Mrs.Tamilisai Soundararajan, has exuded confidence that the victory of BJP in Tamil Nadu will begin from Madurai.
“Our Prime Minister Modi’s visit will herald a turning point for BJP……Those who have been underestimating us will have to change their tune from January 27th …… Modi ji’s visit will lead to victory march for BJP in the ensuing 2019 Lok Sabha elections,” she asserted.
NEXT THREE MONTHS ARE CRUCIAL:
State BJP leaders Mr.B.T.Arasakumar, Mr.Suba.Nagarajan, Mr.Karuppu Muruganandham and State secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, along with Women’s Wing State president Mrs.A.R.Mahalakshmi, have exhorted the party cadres to strengthen their work at booth level and spend more time for the party till the Parliament elections are over.
The arrangements to be made at the public meeting venue in Mandela Nagar along the Ring Road in Madurai city for the PM’s visit were discussed and specific responsibilities have been fixed.
Madurai Urban district president Mr.Sasee Raman and Madurai Rural district president Mr.Maha.Suseendhran, were among those who attended the PM visit review meeting on January 20th 2019. During his visit to Madurai on January 27th 2019, Mr.Narendra Modi will focus on 10 Parliament constituencies and motivate the cadres in preparation for the LS polls.
