MADURAI: Expressing its solidarity to stand by the people who lost their livelihood because of sudden closure of granite quarries in Madurai district, the BJP’s Madurai Rural District unit is all set to start a massive public campaign from December 16th 2018 Sunday demanding for reopening of granite quarries in the interest of PEOPLE’s WELFARE.
On December 16th and 17th 2018, the BJP cadres in Madurai Rural areas will visit several villages in Melur and Madurai East constituencies to lend their support to the affected poor people and families which are in distress because of sudden shutdown of granite quarries more than six years ago.
ON DEC 16th 2018: FROM MELUR AREA

The BJP will be with the people and take up the issue with Tamil Nadu Government to open the granite quarries and factories which had been major source of livelihood.
Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan (Madurai Zone In-Charge) and Madurai Rural District BJP president Mr.Maha.Suseendhran will lead the campaign on December 16th and December 17th 2018, with participation of party cadres, local people and representatives of granite units besides voluntary organisations.
