MADURAI: The Thirupparankundram Assembly constituency has been brought under the jurisdiction of Madurai Urban City unit and an official decision was conveyed by the Tamil Nadu BJP State president Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan on September 7th 2018 Friday.
Till now, the Tirupparankundram Assembly segment area has been under the jurisdiction of Madurai Rural District BJP.

In an official press release on September 7th 2018, Dr.Tamilisai has said that Tirupparankundram assembly constituency has been added to Madurai Urban district BJP.
Likewise,the Thiruppalai Mandal area so far in Madurai City BJP has been tkane to Madurai Rural district BJP, the State BJP president has said in her press release.
ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES IN MADURAI DISTRICT:
The Assembly constituencies coming under Madurai City unit BJP are: Madurai North, Madurai South, Madurai Central, Madurai West and Thirupparankundram constituency.
The Assembly constituencies under Madurai Rural District BJP are: Melur, Sholavandhan, Tirumangalam, Madurai East and Usilampatti.
