MADURAI: Leaders and representatives of people belonging to OBC (Other Backward Classes) have hailed Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi and the BJP in one voice for the big decision taken on August 31st 2018 to collect OBC data as part of 2021 Census.
“August 31st 2018 is a HISTORIC DAY for the OBCs in India who comprise 60 per cent of our population…..OBCs will be thankful and grateful to Mr.Modi….While other political parties are using us as vote banks, only Mr.Narendra Modi stood by us by taking right decision at a right time because he belongs to OBC category,” they said at a special meeting held in Madurai on September 2nd 2018 Sunday.
Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, OBC Wing Madurai Zone in-charge Mr.G.P.Baskaran and several party functionaries attended the OBC meeting and Krishna Jayanthi celebrations near Madhanagopala Swamy Temple – West Masi Street in Madurai city.
