MADURAI: The prime focus of welfare and development schemes launched by our Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi has always been on women’s well-being and women empowerment. Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan, has said in Madurai on July 22nd 2018.
“There is a long list of schemes and a large number of women beneficiaries all over the country. A significant number of those who benefited from Modi’s schemes are from Tamil Nadu.” he said while speaking at the State Women’s Wing convention at Madurai Othakadai on Sunday evening.

In his speech, Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan highlighted the various women-centric welfare schemes of the Central government and the steps taken to SAVE THE GIRL CHILD.
“Mr.Modi laid focus on prevention of female infanticide and also to save newborn girl babies. From pregnancy to delivery of baby, the women are taken care of through health interventions. Girl child education was given priority. Similarly, the Modi government is equally putting attention on PROMOTING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS by providing financial assistance through Mudra bank loans….” he explained.
FOUR CRORE GAS CYLINDERS:
Keeping the health of women in mind, Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi had launched the most effective scheme of giving free LPG cooking cylinders to rural households for poor people. Till now, four crore LPG connections were given by the Union government
SIX CRORE TOILETS;
To protect the dignity of women. the Modi government is constructing toilets in homes and schools. “It is a matter of shame that the earlier Congress government did not even think of women and their hardships”, the Union Minister of State Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan, had pointed out.
