DINDIGUL: Former Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine of Government of Tamil Nadu Dr.S.Elango had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on July 14th 2018 (Saturday) at an event held in his native village near Dindigul.
He took formal membership and joined BJP in the presence of senior leader and Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan who visited Dr.Elango’s native village – Palayankottai (Athur taluk) near Sempatti in Dindigul district. Dindigul district BJP president Mr.S.K.Palaniswamy and State leader Karu.Nagarajan were among those present.
Dr.S.Elango was the Director of Public Health Tamil Nadu from 2008 to 2010. Earlier. he had worked in various capacities in the field of public health as Deputy Director of Health Services of Madurai district, later as joint director and also as teaching faculty in Govt medical college etc.
PONNAAR A GREAT MOTIVATOR:
“I am very much impressed and motivated by the simplicity and humility of honourable Ponnaar ji……he visited my village…..came to my house and he met the village people……The Union Minister met children, women and farmers…….he impressed everybody and motivated us with his humbleness,” Dr.Elango has said.
I WILL WORK FOR BJP VICTORY:
The retired public health director Dr.Elango said that BJP is truly a party with a difference and hence he had decided to join the BJP.
“We have to step up fight against corruption………I will work with the youth in particular and motivate them……,” he said on Sunday.
