MADURAI: Celebrations erupted in Madurai city immediately after the trend of vote counting became clear that BJP had defeated the Congress party in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh on December 18th 2017.
A large number of BJP cadres turned up for the victory celebration near Periyar Bustand Kattabomman statue where there were drum beats. dancing, joy, crackers, sweets etc.
