MADURAI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had demanded the Tamil Nadu Government to file an FIR against VCK chief Thirumavalavan and also immediately arrest him for his reckless and politically motivated peace-disturbing comments on Hindu temples.
“How dare for Thirumavalavan to call for demolition of Hindu temples? He went to the extent of naming the Hindu temples which have to be removed/demolished…..The HR&CE Department should not keep silent on this sensitive issue. We demand for his arrest since he is disturbing peace, communal harmony and insulting the sentiments of crores of Hindus by joining hands with some Muslim outfits.” the BJP Madurai City unit had urged at a protest – demonstration held at Bypass Road near Guru Theatre in Madurai on December 11th 2017 (Monday).

Tamil Nadu BJP State Vice-President Mr.S.Surendran, BJP Women’s Wing State president Mrs.A.R.Mahalakshmi, national executive member Mr.S.R.Vetrivel, Madurai Urban district leaders – Mr.M.G.Bharathi Raja, Mr.D.M.Balakrishnan and Mr.K.K.Srinivasan, Mr.Na.Selvakumar, Mr.S.K.Hariharan, Mr.O.B.Gopidoss and women’s wing district president Mrs.K.Meenambigai, were among those who took part in the BJP demonstration.
The party’s protest by raising slogans against Thirumavalavan was held in Palanganatham Mandal and a large number of cadres led by that mandal president Mr.Paraman took part.
Also present were BJP youth wing members led by youth wing State general secretary Mr.C.M.Mari Chakkaravarthy and youth wing district president Mr.S.Perumal.
