MADURAI: “Do smart work with your smart phone and get smart victory for our party the great BJP in coming elections. Yes, use your android smart phone and join the “DIGITAL WAR” through electronic mode to win the people’s hearts…….Face election via electronic route….That should be our social media strategy for elections – from local bodies to the 2019 Parliament polls….”
This was the straight advise given by Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan while speaking at an orientation session conducted for Social Media volunteers of Madurai Parliament Lok Sabha Constituency ( comprising Six Assembly constituencies ) held at the BJP Madurai Rural district office in Melamadai in the city on December 8th 2017 Friday evening.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO FOLLOW?
1. Form 10-member social media teams in each Assembly constituency coming under Madurai Lok Sabha constituency area…..Totally 6 assembly constituencies… one in-charge for each social media team. The work must be completed in 10 days from today.
2. Smart work and smart phone go together. Work with a positive agenda for promoting our BJP through the social media route. Be cautious while posting or sharing messages or posts in Whatsapp or Facebook or Twitter etc……And, there should not be personal attacks or personal agenda / personal criticism…..Only party comes first.
3. Create a Facebook Page for each assembly constituency in our Madurai parliament constituency area…..So, totally 6 assembly segments…..Facebook updating on regular basis to the people – important public issues and BJP stand. The Countdown has started for the Lok Sabha polls.
4. Conduct ward level meetings in Madurai Corporation area on every TUESDAY. For Madurai Rural district unit, the Tuesday meetings must be conducted at town panchayat and municipality level.
5. Collect as many WhataApp mobile numbers from the general public at the earliest…..by end of this month……and get the work started by your BJP social media teams……This is for each ward and later we will do the grouping to reach the voters specifically.
6. Know the correct particulars of number of voters / population of assembly constituency and other details. At least 10 per cent of WhatsApp numbers of people in your area should be with our social media teams to begin with by the end of December 2017.
7. Point and Counter Point to give fitting reply to political opponents will be the next major step for the Madurai BJP through your mobile phone. Focus on local issues. Find out where the promises were not kept by the present MLAs or MPs – ruling party – and your local body representatives.
