MADURAI: Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan had expressed his concern that one family in the State had put Tamil Nadu and its people to shame after the recent Income Tax raids which had pointed towards amassed wealth / illegal assets worth thousands of crores of rupees.
“Our Tamil Nadu is feeling ashamed after IT raids……Benami accounts, benami transactions, shell companies and unaccounted money etc…..The IT raids exposed Mannargudi & Co,” he said referring to Sasikala and T.T.V.Dhinakaran family’s amassed wealth.
Prof.Dr.Srinivasan was speaking at a public meeting held at K.Pudur bus stand – Ward 45 – in Madurai city on November 25th 2017 – Saturday evening.
The public meeting was organised by the BJP Madurai Urban district propaganda cell and Pudur Mandal to highlight the achievements of Modi government and welfare schemes introduced for various sections of people.

Stating that a patriot is governing the country today as Prime Minister, the BJP State Secretary had pointed out that eradicating corruption at all levels is the top goal of Mr.Modi.
“Income Tax raids do not take place just like that……That too in a very large IT raid operation that happened recently in our State……So, the IT Department must have had definitive information about that family (Sasikala’s)……When the documents seized are saying everything about the shady transactions, why are you blaming Mr.Modi for the raids,” Prof.Dr.Srinivasan had questioned Mr.T.T.V.Dhinakaran and his family members.
BJP RESPECTS AND FOLLOWS THE LAW AND RULES:
Prof.Dr.Srinivasan has reiterated that if there is any political party that respects law and rules in this country, it is only the BJP.
“I never criticise the police because they work under ‘pressure’ and ‘compulsions’. But my appeal to the police department is it must introspect and accept that BJP cadres respect law and follow rules. If a political party had put up flex boards, hoardings etc by violating the High Court order, the police should remove them immediately. If needed, our BJP youth wing will help you,” the BJP State Secretary told Madurai police.
