MADURAI: A meeting of the party candidates who will be contesting as BJP councillor candidates in local body elections (for Madurai Corporation) was held at the party’s Kochadai office in the city on November 19th 2017 (Sunday).
Mr.Saseeraman, Madurai Urban District city BJP president, led the meeting along with other district office-bearers and provided guidance to the party candidates who will be contesting the corporation councillor elections.
“Ideas and suggestions for better connect with local people in their respective wards, local problems and how to reach the Modi government’s welfare schemes were discussed at this orientation session for the candidates,” according to a statement from the party here.
ACCIDENT INSURANCE SCHEME ETC….
In preparation for the local body elections, Mr.Saseeraman had told the BJP candidates who will be in the fray to explain about the important accident insurance scheme for the benefit of auto-drivers and others besides the welfare schemes available for those in the unorganised sector.
MEET THE PEOPLE DAILY IN YOUR WARD:
The district president of BJP Madurai urban district also told the councillor candidates here to meet the local people in their wards daily and listen to their grievances.
“Mandal presidents, ward presidents and booth level functionaries should work as a team in all the 100 wards……We have to work for victory and if we are in touch with local people in our ward, we can win in Madurai,” Mr.Saseeraman had exhorted.
