MADURAI: BJP National Secretary and party’s senior leader Mr.H.Raja had appealed to the hotel / restaurant owners to reduce the prices in proportion with the recently cut down GST rates.
“I appeal to the hotels and restaurant owners not to blame the GST slab rates anymore…….If they do not reduce the prices, then I am warning that what is happening in Tamil Nadu for the past eight days (referring to IT Raids) will happen for the hotels also,” he had sent out a strong message from Madurai on November 19th 2017 (Sunday morning).
He made it clear the benefits of reduced GST rates should be passed on to the consumers and common man.

SALES TAX DEPT SHOULD CHECK HOTELS:
Mr.H.Raja gave an exclusive interview to the ‘Lotus Times’ news website in Madurai speaking on various important topics – GST, Demonetisation, desperation of opposition parties, about DMK and Mr.Stalin, and the positive mood in favour of the BJP among the people in Tamil Nadu because of Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s good governance.
QUESTIONS TO HOTELS:
“What was the dosa price in hotels earlier? How much you charged when VAT and sales were there earlier? After GST came into effect, how much you started charging? Now, have you reduced the prices in hotels after the GST Council recently reduced GST rate based on your representations,?”, the BJP national secretary asked the hotel owners and AC Restaurants.
