MADURAI: The two youth wings of the BJP in Madurai district – Urban and Rural – have prepared a strategic action plan in order to strengthen the party at ground level, to rope in more youngsters into the party and work along with the parent body leaders for electoral success through good coordination.
An extensive meeting of youth wing office-bearers of Madurai Urban and Madurai Rural districts was held at the Madurai Parliament Constituency Office of the BJP at Bibikulam in here on November 16th 2017 at 6 p.m. under the guidance of Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan.
AGENDA TO BE COMPLETED SOON:
Three Youth Wing leaders – State general secretary Mr.C.M,Mari Chakkaravarthy, Madurai Urban district youth wing president Mr.S.Perumal and Madurai Rural district youth wing president Mr.M.Gokkul, explained about the youth wing activities in Madurai district and their plans for next 45 days.
After taking stock of the work in progress, Prof.Dr.Srinivasan suggested to the youth wing office-bearers in Madurai district to go and work with a specific action plan.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETINGS:
First, the district Executive Committee meetings in both urban and rural must be convened immediately to speed up the work at various levels. All the mandal level youth wing EC meetings also should be held soon.
The role of BJP youth wing in nurturing Madurai North and Madurai Central assembly constituencies as “Model Constituencies’ was explained to the office-bearers.
YOUTH WING AND SOCIAL MEDIA:
“Youth wing and social media are indispensable for us…..They go together as twins…..So, I asked them to be pro-active in reaching to the people through social media with our party programmes and Modi government achievements….That will be a great booster for us and in effectively going to people,” Prof.Dr.Srinivasan has said after the meeting.
The youth wing teams in Madurai Urban and Madurai Rural districts were also advised to use the RTI route to expose the alleged corruption and violations in toilet construction – Swachh Bharat programme etc.
“Our party will conduct its own investigation and BJP will expose the irregularities and persons behind them with evidence,” Prof.Dr.Srinivasan has said.
OFFICE-BEARERS PRESENT:
From the BJP Madurai Urban district youth wing, those who attended the important meeting include Mr.Pandiarajan (dist treasurer), Mr.Vignesh Pandi, Mr.Pudur Praveen Raj, Mr.P.Balaji, advocate Karthick and Mr.Madhan Kumar.
From the BJP Madurai Rural district, those who participated in the meeting include Mr.A.Sivapandi, Mr.Dheepan Ilangovan and others.
Finally, the three leaders – Mr.C.M.Mari Chakkaravarthy, Mr.S.Perumal and Mr.M.Gokkul – have decided to review the progress in the next few days and keep the party senior leaders informed about ground level implementation of the action plan devised on November 16th 2017 (Thursday).
