MADURAI: Former president of leading trade body MADITSSIA which functions from Madurai, Mr.V.S.Manimaran, had made an appeal to the State and Central governments to ensure that the manpower in southern districts of Tamil Nadu get suitable / adequate/ timely employment and business opportunities.
“All the major automobile ancillary industries in Tamil Nadu are getting located in Chennai – Kancheepuram area……Why not our Madurai?……For the progress and development of southern districts, we need large industries here……Consider the Madurai – Tuticorin stretch and create a major industrial corridor,” he said.

Mr.Manimaran of MADITSSIA, who is leading a public movement for setting up AIIMS in Madurai at the earliest, had urged the policymakers and the Government to involve trade bodies also while formulating / finalising a policy because the southern districts’ development and people welfare depends on employment opportunities, business and trade.
The MADITSSIA former president and AIIMS campaigner was speaking at the ‘Initiative for Public Policy’ expert discussion organised in Madurai on November 3rd 2017.
