MADURAI: A mass people’s movement against encroachments alone can save our water sources for drinking and irrigation and it should be like a freedom movement to throw away those who are responsible for encroaching, said Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Mr.La.Ganesan in Madurai on November 3rd 2017.
“It is a vicious circle and things are inter-linked …..If the Government is watching and even responsible for allowing illegal constructions and encroachments, what to do? So, we should fight the encroachers through a people’s struggle and protect our water sources,” he said.

Mr.La.Ganesan was speaking at the ‘Initiative for Public Policy’ discussion with water experts, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh leader Mr.Perumal and other invitees at MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai.
MADITSSIA president Mr.K.P.Murugan, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Mr.N.Jagadeesan, water management and water treatment voices – Dr.S.Rajamohan (Enviro Care Pvt Ltd) and Dr.P.S.Navaraj, Principal of Annai Fatima College in Tirumangalam, and BJP office-bearers from Madurai Urban and Madurai Rural districts were among those who spoke at this first policy discussion meeting in Madurai city.
