RAJAPALAYAM: Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary and Madurai Division In-charge Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan was all praise for the committed and active booth level work done by the party’s Virudhunagar district team in Rajapalayam.
“On November 5th 2017 (Sunday), our party office-bearers did a tremendous job despite rain in Rajapalayam…..In a single day, the party team achieved 20 Qualified Booths in Rajapalayam…..My congratulations to the BJP district general secretary (org ) Mr.S.Radhakrishnan and his team of 29 party workers who were involved in this work,” the BJP State Secretary told “Lotus Times’ website on Monday.
He also complimented the active supporting role played by party’s Virudhunagar district president Mr.G.T.Solaiappan.

A Qualified Booth is one which has a minimum of 30 members in a booth and anyone can be a member to do the party work. In Rajapalayam, out of 117 booths only 40 have become qualified booths so far.
But, the decision to have a massive campaign on one single day – November 5th 2017 – had its impact and the BJP team had succeeded in making additional 20 booths in Rajapalayam – as eligible / qualified booths in a single day work from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. by the team led by Mr.Radhakrishnan taking the qualified booth tally to over 60 booths.
“The BJP district leaders in Virudhunagar district are now very confident of making all the booths as qualified very soon. The success of booth work on November 5th gave them confidence and cadres are very jubilant now…..Our party will cover all the municipalities quickly to achieve 100 per cent coverage of all booths to make them qualified booths,” Prof.Dr.Srinivasan has said.
He had appealed to other BJP district presidents and office-bearers in Madurai Division of the BJP to emulate Rajapalayam model by taking it as an inspiration and hold massive campaigns.
Besides completing the booth work in all municipalities, the BJP is also working with vigour in town panchayats.
The entire work with regard to booths / eligible booths will be completed by the last week of December, Prof.Dr.Srinivasan had expressed confidence.
