WARD 70:
MADURAI: It was BJP cadres day out in Madurai Corporation Ward 70 localities on September 17th 2017 (Sunday) as they jubilantly took part in the Swachch Bharat cleanliness mission celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
An enthusiastic team led by party’s district vice-president Mr.Keerathurai R.Kumar put the cleanliness drive on track from Madurai East railway station premises. Waste was cleared from the tracks and garbage was taken from platform.
“Our request and appeal from Ward 70 – Kamarajapuram area and from residents in Therkutheru – Keerathurai locality is to expand the Madurai East Railway Junction ……please make it a Category-2 station because this station is an important link to the famous Rameswaram pilgrim centre…..trains / tourists come here ….” BJP’s Mr.Keerathurai Kumar said after the cleaning the railway platform and tracks.
OUR WARD 70 REQUEST TO UNION MINISTERS:
He said that the request will be made to the Union Railway Minister Mr.Piyush Goyal, Southern Railway and to Union Minister of State Shri.Pon.Radhakrishnan also very soon in this regard.
M.Thirumurugan, Keerathurai Mandal general secretary, V.K.Vellaisamy, mandal vice-president, IT expert Senthil Alagar of Madurai district IT and Social Media wing, M.Muniasamy, 70th Ward president of BJP along with ward candidate Soundarya and youth wing district treasurer R.Palanikumar participated.
BJP local leaders and ward representatives from Therku Theru area in Madurai city took part in Swachch Bharat campaign on September 17th 2017.
