SRI LANKAN TAMILS ARE HAPPY WITH MODI & WE RESPECT HIM

MADURAI: Sri Lanka’s Member of Parliament from Batticaloa District Mr.Seenithamby Yoheswaran has said that the two visits of Indian Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi had generated lot of hope, confidence and respect towards him among the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
 
“Tamils in Sri Lanka are very happy because he came to see them personally….It was a very important visit because no other Prime Minister except Mr.Modi visited the Tamil-living areas and listened to them, their sufferings, their problems and requirements,” he said speaking in Madurai on August 26th 2017 (Saturday).
 
Mr.Yoheswaran felt that Mr.Modi will be able to find a political solution to the needs of Tamils living in Sri Lanka because of the respect the government of that country has towards him. He is also trusted because of his thrust on development policies and programmes.
 
 
TAMILS TRUST MODI:
 
“Whether it be the demand for more powers to Tamils, or progress of Tamil population, industries in our region in Sri Lanka, welfare and rehabilitation of widows / physically handicapped and families affected by missing persons in war-torn Jaffna region Tamil-dominated areas…..people look up to Mr.Modi…The Sri Lankan government respects Mr.Modi a lot,” said Mr.Yoheswaran.
 
He expressed confidence that the fishermen issues between the two countries will be solved soon through talks and the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) in Sri Lanka too will facilitate for lasting solution.
 
The Sri Lankan Tamil MP visited the BJP’s Madurai Parliament Constituency office in Bibikulam (Opp. to IT office) in Madurai city where he met the BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan and others.
