URGENT NEEDS IN 8 WARDS: BJP TELLS MADURAI CORPN

MADURAI: The Pudur Mandal executive committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madurai. which was held on August 12th 2017 at 7 p.m., took a resolve to work for Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s call to create a ‘New India’ by making the local BJP cadres and office-bearers take an active role in development initiatives.
 
Totally 16 resolutions have been passed in this meeting by highlighting many ward-specific issues, people’s requirements in the Pudur Mandal, law and order situation / chain snatching incidents, poor civic amenities, water stagnation, underground drainage, bad condition of roads and vehicle parking difficulties faced by the public.
 
The Pudur Mandal of the BJP covers eight wards of the Madurai Corporation. Each ward had six booths and the party had decided to again undertake the Vistarak work in order to strengthen the BJP at grassroot booth level.
 
Wards coming under the Pudur Mandal are: Ward 27, ward 30, ward 31, ward 33, ward 34, ward 44, ward 45 and ward 46. Issues in these ward will be taken to the attention of Madurai Corporation and city police.
 
 
VISTARAK WORK FOR 15 DAYS:
 
The party expansion drive will also focus on membership. The Vistarak work will be done for 15 days in September wherein office-bearers will spend substantial time at individual booth level explaining about the welfare schemes, good governance and the need to bring BJP to power by voting for it in local body polls, assembly and parliament elections.
 
Dr.A.T.Thiyagarajan, Director, Madurai City Hospital, was the special guest for Pudur Mandal EC meeting on August 12th.
 
BJP Madurai Urban district office-bearers discussed threadbare the local issues and prepared an action plan for next two months. A resolution was also passed congratulating and extending best wishes to President of India Shri.Ram Nath Kovind and new Vice-President Mr.M.Venkaiah Naidu.
 
 
Pudur Mandal president R.Jothi Manivannan (Shankar), prabhari K.K.Nagar M.Kannan, district general secretary (org) Mr.M.G.Bharathi Raja, State Youth Wing general secretary Mr.C.M.Mari Chakkaravarthi and BJP district secretary Mrs.Sunitha Mallady were among those who attended the meeting.
