NAGAPATTINAM: The Youth Wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu began its big moves boldly for the success of a massive rally towards the seat of power Fort St.George in Chennai on August 7th 2017.
To prepare for this march to the Tamil Nadu Assembly/Secretariat which is aimed at drawing the State government’s attention on important public issues, the BJP Youth Wing began mobilising its office-bearers and members in all districts for the huge event in Chennai.
The march and rally cum protest in Chennai on August 7th is for three demands – to hold local body elections in Tamil Nadu, to create liquor-free Tamil Nadu and close TASMAC wine shops and to improve the quality of education and infrastructure in Tamil Nadu State Government schools.
Undertaking the fieldwork, the BJP Tamil Nadu Youth Wing general secretary Mr.C.M.Mari Chakkaravarthy went to Nagapattinam on July 31st 2017 (Monday) where the Nagai Zonal review Meeting was held. Another meeting was conducted at Villupuram in the evening.
Youth Wing office-bearers in the Nagapattinam Zone assembled in Nagapattinam to confirm their registrations for the August 7th mega event of the Tamil Nadu BJP Youth Wing.
GOOD RESPONSE IN NAGAI:
“We covered Nagai South, Nagai North, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur South and Thanjavur North….the response is very encouraging…from this Nagai Zone, around 1,000 youth wing members of our party will go to Chennai and raise voice for the cause of people of Tamil Nadu,” Mr.Mari Chakkaravarthy has said.
In the evening on July 31st 2017, the youth wing general secretary had a similar meeting at Villupuram with the office-bearers from the youth wing units of the BJP from Villupuram East, Villupuram West and Cuddalore.
“Thousands of our youth wing cadres will reach Chennai for this massive march / rally in Chennai on August 7th…the final list of those taking part is getting ready,” he told the ‘Lotus Times’ website www.lotustimes.org.
K.Saranraj, Nagai Zonal youth wing in-charge and youth wing State Secretary, Mr.K.Vinodh, Nagai South district youth wing president, and others attended the preparatory meeting in Nagapattinam on July 31st 2017 morning.
