RAMESWARAM: The much-awaited visit of most popular Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi to the famous pilgrimage town Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu on July 27th 2017 is all set to be a huge success.
It was activity abuzz in the Ramanathapuram – Pamban – Rameswaram stretch on July 25th as final touches were being given for the grand event by the Government departments, central / State security personnel and the BJP leaders by going in to the minute detail.
Mr.Kesava Vinayagam, Tamil Nadu BJP State general secretary (organisation), held discussions with party general secretaries, State office-bearers and Ramanathapuram district BJP team with regard to the arrangements and amenities at the meeting venue for the public.
On July 27th 2017, the Prime Minister inaugurates the memorial of former President of India Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam who is popularly known as ‘People’s President’.
MEDIA TEAMS ARRIVE:
Union Ministers, party MPs and national leaders of the BJP will attend the function in Rameswaram where Mr.Modi will also address a public meeting after the Kalam memorial inauguration and distribution of fishing equipment to fishermen.
Meanwhile, the BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan and media cell State president /convenor Mr.A.N.S.Prasad visited the Ramanathapuram district collectorate to meet the public relations officials there with regard to special passes for the media teams thronging the temple town in large numbers to cover Mr.Modi’s Rameswaram visit.
Dr.Srinivasan, who is the media in-charge for the July 27th historic event, has said that the State leadership had given specific tasks to each office-bearer. “Mr.Kesava Vinayagam reviewed the works and gave specific instructions to us to make Modi trip a great success,” he added.
From the Madurai Zone, BJP cadres will be going in large numbers to Rameswaram to attend Modi’s events and public meeting. District presidents of the party are mobilising a sea of humanity to the sea shore town Rameswaram on July 27th.
For instance, the Madurai Urban district unit of the BJP is carrying party cadres and office-bearers in 100 vans and 25 cars to Rameswaram where they will get a chance to see our Prime Minister, said Madurai city urban district president Mr.Saseeraman on Tuesday.
Similar arrangements have been made in the BJP Madurai Rural district unit too under the leadership of district president Mr.Maha Suseendhran.
KALAM A GREAT TAMILIAN:
“A grand Memorial for Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam is a first of its kind in India…Our Prime Minister is leading the nation to do a great honour to a great Tamilian and that too in a great place like Rameswaram by inaugurating it ,” Dr.Srinivasan has said. The Prime Minister also attended the last rites of Dr.Kalam after his sudden passing away.
A battery of leading personalities including Vice-President nominee Mr.M.Venkaiah Naidu, Tamil Nadu Governor Mr.Ch.Vidyasagara Rao, Puducherry Governor Mrs. Kiran Bedi, Union Minister Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan, Rajya Sabha MP Mr.La.Ganesan, BJP national general secretary Mr.Muralidhar Rao and State leaders will participate in the Rameswaram function.
On July 27th, Mr.Modi will arrive in Madurai airport in the morning and from there proceeds to Pamban by helicopter.
