MADURAI: The debate and discourse by Congress party in Rajya Sabha on July 19th 2017 (Wednesday) from 2 pm during a discussion on “lynching and atrocities on minorities and dalits in the country'” has only exposed its level of desperation and growing irrelevance in Indian political space.
This discussion took place a day after honest IPS officer Ms.D.Roopa (DIG-Prisons) was literally lynched out by the Karnataka government through an urgent transfer order after her letter expose on VIP treatment/ facilities/ Rs.2 crore bribe charges in Tamil Nadu’s high profile convict Sasikala’s case in the Parappana Agrahara prison. Her bosses acted fast. Roopa was shunted out but there were no replies on the rot in prison raised by the lady police officer.
The other scams during the 10-year UPA rule at the Centre are always a national talking point because the corruption allegations ranged from soil to space and from coal to commonwealth etc.

HONESTY QUESTIONED IN KARNATAKA:
The TV visuals of Sasikala’s comforts in jail are already in public domain but honest cop Ms.Roopa was ruthlessly transferred.
Just an hour before the Rajya Sabha reconvened after adjournment, the country’s popular news channel ‘Times Now’ exposed Congress’s dossier of questions against the Narendra Modi government.
“It is shocking that the Congress party dossier did not question about Pakistan’s attack on India and our soldiers in Kashmir border. They are asking about cows, slaughter ban and a few incidents of mob lynching after rules were framed to protect cows and illegal slaughter,” BJP national spokesperson Dr.Sambit Patra hit back in the TV debate questioning Congress party’s disruptive intentions.
When the Rajya Sabha proceedings began post-lunch session on July 19th, the leader of opposition Mr.Ghulam Nabi Azad, who spoke on mob lynchings, cow vigilantism and incidents on minorities, was hit back swiftly by the Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mr.Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
“Don’t discuss on fabricated issues here in this House. Our Modi government is for development only, but not destruction,” Dr.Patra said in his counter to the opposition on TV debate.

WRONG PRIORITIES:
The BJP national spokesperson stated that the Congress dossier is wrong and it has only wrong priorities.
“GST means Growing Strong Together…this was what our PM has said. The 32-paper set of questions raised by the Congress is an attempt to put brakes on development agenda of Mr.Modi’s govenrment,” Dr.Patra said speaking from the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
He told the opposition voices that Prime Minister is sweating day in and day out but the Congress party does not want the Parliament to function.
“The Prime Minister was already critical on vigilantism, attacks on beef carriers etc. Instead of making Pakistan and our national security a priority issue, the Congress party in its 32-page internal dossier did not even mention Pakistan… so who is playing vote bank politics in this country,” the BJP national spokesperson had questioned.
In the Rajya Sabha, when the Leader of Opposition Mr.Ghulam Nabi Azad repeatedly made statements that Modi’s government is working in a fashion of going against everybody, the BJP members stood up condemning his words after which the RS had to be adjourned.
