MADURAI: “Thamarai Sevai Mayyam”. This is the latest addition to the list of various innovative ideas emerging from the temple city towards strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madurai district.
Situated on a busy main road at Melamadai in Madurai city, this Thamarai Sevai Mayyam is the bustling office of BJP Madurai Rural from where the party leaders and cadres are performing with twin objectives.
On the one hand, the party’s Madurai rural district got a spacious office for meetings, party work, cadre-orientation and related activities. And, on the other side it has been performing a focused free public service through a dedicated team by setting up a well-equipped registration and guidance centre to help people avail the welfare schemes introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
This twin-goal office of the BJP Madurai Rural District in Melamadai (near Apollo Hospital), which has spacious rooms, reception area, covered meeting space on terrace and also a small library, is catching the attention as a large number of the party flags and increasing number of visitors has made it a popular spot.
A team from the ‘Lotus Times’ visited the ‘Thamarai Sevai Mayyam’ on 20th June 2017 when BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan held an important meeting with the office-bearers of Madurai rural. Mr.Maha.Suseendhran, district president (BJP Madurai Rural), G.Sivalingam (general secretary-org), R.Sasikumar (vice-president) and M.Gokul (district youth wing president), were among those who attended the meeting.
PARTY WORK AND PUBLIC SERVICE :
Speaking about the office opened by the Madurai rural district, the BJP State Secretary has said that the objective was to establish a role model district office for the party. “A party office must be visited not only by the party workers but also by general public,” he observed.
Mr.Suseendhran informed that the “Thamarai Sevai Mayyam” has become a good connecting point for the party with the people as advised by the Prime Minister and party leadership. “Our leaders are coming here, meeting people and solving grievances. Our office is helping for good visibility of both rural and urban units of Madurai BJP due to its location. BJP cadres from various other places are also coming here,” he added.
Through ‘Senthamrai Sevai Mayyam”, e-seva activities are being done. There is also Deendayal Upadhyaya Legal Aid forum which holds meeting once in a week. A library Kesavan Padippagam is there in the name of RSS founder. An important feature of this unique office is that three full-time party workers stay there full time and it facilitates for anytime contact.
MODI GOVT.SCHEMES:
