THENI: Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s relentless crusade against corruption and black money is to make the world refer to India as “Honest India” since the country had to face embarrassing global comments for alleges widespread corruption in India before the BJP-led government came to power at the Centre in May 2014.
“The description for India in future from worldover will be HONEST INDIA. Already our Prime Minister gave us phenomenal schemes like Standup India, Startup India, Skill India, Make in India etc. But the major direction he gave to us is to become Honest India and that is what is happening after the November 8th 2016 demonetisation decision,” he said amidst applause from a huge crowd gathered at the meet organised by India’s telecom pride BSNL in Theni on June 17th 2017 to mark three years of Modi government.
National telecom major BSNL had organised “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan’ at NRT Mahal in Theni on June 17th 2017 inviting a cross section of people to tell about Modi government’s success in three years.
Dr.Srinivasan told gathering that the label of Honest India under Mr.Modi will be the major achievement for the country since he was able to harness positive energy, positive thoughts and positive minds to usher in corruption-free government.

Speaking about the ancient civilisation of India, the BJP State Secretary pointed out that understanding of India is very tough and complex since it is an ancient civilisation with diverse cultures, religions, dialetics, languages, castes, practices etc.
“Can anyone say what is the Date of Birth for India? Many earlier civilisations had perished. Our Bharath is so ancient that there is no DoB. When there is no DoB, there is also no Date of Death also. So, India and Bharath will live and flourish forever,” he thundered amidst applause.
Dr.Srinivasan pointed out that the fact that there is not an iota of corruption charge against Prime Minister Modi and his Minister team is a proof that BJP-led government is at a right direction for the tag of HONEST INDIA and the nation salutes him.
“Our Prime Minister’s mission is to be honest and he is making India and Indians to be honest. We should be a part of that transparent, honest and committed movement to eradicate black money, corruption/bribe, etc,” he said.
Dr.Srinivasan spoke about the GST, scrapping of Planning Commission and replacing it pro-active NITI Aayog, Ease of Doing Business, the positive global impact of Modi’s foreign visits and the welfare schemes.
“He (Prime Minister) is harnessing energy to make a honest India. We are an emerging energetic India. That our reforms transform India are the prime agenda before the country’s people. BJP cadres are working to build India as desired by Modi’s team” the BJP Tamil Nadu State Secretary Dr.Srinivasan has said.
Senior BSNL officials including Mrs.S.E.Rajam, Principal General Manager- BSNL and M.Sridevi, Divisional Engineer (Theni BSNL), were among those present.
