MADURAI: Acting swiftly after the new Corporation Commissioner Mr.Aneesh Sekhar assumed charge on June 5th,2017, a team of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Madurai city’s Thiruppalai Mandal met him and submitted to him a list of public demands, especially to clear the Underground Drainage (UD) leakage in their area.
The BJP’s plea for public utility facility on behalf of wards in Madurai Corporation Area – Wards 25 (Surveyor Colony Area in Madurai City), Ward 2 and 3 and 4 – in Aanaiyur locality – was presented as a representation to the new Madurai Corporation Commissioner on June 7th, 2017, within days after Mr.Sekhar took charge.
The BJP team had urged the corporation commissioner to instruct the civic team in Madurai to clear the underground drainage leakage in Ward 25 – Surveyor Colony area – and also to improve the civic amenities in Thiruppalai / Aanaiyur and its surrounding areas.
Those who met the new Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.Aneesh Sekhar from the Madurai BJP include: S.Perumal (Thiruppalai Mnadal president- Madurai), S.Ilayaraja (District Secretary), K.Raja (Madurai district propaganda cell president) and Prabhakaran (mandal general secretary).
After receiving the representation and demands of the BJP team from Thiruppalai mandal, the new Madurai Corporation Commissioner has assured that the corporation will take quick steps to solve the people’s demands.
It was learnt on June 8th 2017, that the corporation had started working to rectify the civic issues in Thiruppalai area in Madurai based on BJP’s representation.
