MADURAI: Work in the field for just 15 days, we will win and we will reach the famous seat of power in Tamil Nadu – the Fort St.George in Chennai. The BJP’s saffron flag will flutter everywhere if this booth-level strategy is implemented for a matter of just a fortnight – 15 days – by the party cadres from booth, mandal, district and State level in June 2017.
This was the call given by the Tamil Nadu BJP State president Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan during her meeting with party office-bearers from five districts held in Madurai on May 24th, 2017 (Wednesday) evening.
As per the national level plan worked out by the party’s national leadership, the BJP cadres in Tamil Nadu will also pan out to the most important booth level work in each assembly constituency in June 2017 ( June 15 to June 30) for 15 days leaving their family and home to work with singular goal for the party’s success in TN elections.
“The party will recognise your fortnight field work….voluntarily take part and give your names, go with joy and our party has abundant chance now in Tamil Nadu to win in elections. Your hard work will take you to heights in our party… From only three per cent votes now, the BJP can secure 30 per cent votes if we work with our latest strategy,” Dr.Tamilisai had exhorted the party leaders and cadres in five southern districts – Madurai urban, Madurai rural, Virudhunagar, Dindigul and Theni.
During the 15-day full-time party work, the designated party cadre will work as “vistharak” to expand the BJP base and they will work on key areas such as party membership, booth committees, Swacchh Bharat to promote cleanliness in their assigned areas and planting of tree saplings to promote green cover which ultimately leads to environment protection. They are supposed to stay in their designated area/constituency with a break for couple of days in between.
A party cadre who comes forward to work fully for 15 days will be working for the party in nearby assembly constituency by mingling with the local people and on local issues. One full-time party worker for three booths for only 15 days is the latest success salvo signed up for Tamil Nadu.
“The attendance of mandal and district level office-bearers in today’s Madurai meeting is very good, let us take advantage of the emerging political space in Tamil Nadu and give a fitting reply to our critics and other ‘D’ political leaders in this State,” the BJP State president has said.
Finally, she told the party cadres that the ultimate goal is to ensure BJP victory in Tamil Nadu elections, saffron surge in the southern State and the strategic approach to be implemented as directed by the national president Mr.Amit Shah to strengthen the BJP at organisational level from booth to assembly level.
BJP Tamil Nadu general secretary Mr.Narendran, senior leader Mr.Mohanarajulu, State secretary Prof.R.Srinivasan, women’s wing State president Mrs.A.R.Mahalakshmi, State vice-president Mr.S.Surendran, party’s Madurai urban city president Mr.Saseeraman and Madurai rural district president Mr.Suseendran were among those who took part in the strategy meeting along with mandal presidents and other office-bearers.
