MADURAI: BJP national level leader and the party’s all-India joint general secretary B.L.Santhosh visited ‘Makkal Sevai Mayyam’ in Madurai recently to get an update on the activities being undertaken for strengthening the party in this region.
He was briefed about the various people service initiatives done through this exclusive centre which has been functioning as an extension wing of the party to help people from various walks of life.
Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, the architect of innovative idea Makkal Sevai Mayyam in Madurai city and BJP State secretary, briefed the national leader on the plans in pipeline for year 2017 so as to enhance winnability for the BJP.
Launching of a website to publicise BJP programmes, plan to hold periodical interaction meetings with trade bodies, starting of a small library to help as resource centre for party cadres and the idea to commence Hindi learning class were among those explained to Shri.Santhosh.
Keshav Vinayakji, TN-BJP general secretary (org) and Mr.Saseeraman, BJP Madurai urban district president, were among those who were present during the visit.
Earlier, Shri.Santhosh had a brief interaction with the staff and party office-bearers who have been actively and successfully the Makkal Sevai Mayyam ever since it was started during the middle of last year.
