MADURAI: Members of Passenger Services Committee had inspected the Rameswaram railway station on 21st December 2019 and took stock of the passenger amenities provided there.
Committee chairman Mr.Ramesh Chandra Ratn along with members Mr.Venkataramani, Mr.M.N.Sunder and Mr.Panchanan Rout inspected the railway station and also interacted with train passengers besides inspecting the catering stalls and water bending machines, according to a press release here yesterday from Southern Railway Madurai Division.
CLEAN RAILWAY STATIONS:
Mr.Ramesh Chandra has said that the Passenger Services Committee had found very clean railway stations in Southern Railway Madurai Division and Rameswaram railway station was found to be cleanest. A cash award of Rs.10,000 was recommended for the officials.
Senior railway officials including ADRM Mr.Lalit Kumar Mansukhani and senior DCM Mr.V.Prasanna, accompanied the committee members during the inspection at Rameswaram railway station, the press release said.
